One of the benefits of Supplier Diversity is to support personal connections, but that doesn't eliminate the need to know the process. Suppliers gain business based on the value they bring to a corporation, and in order for a supplier to get into a corporation's supply chain, they have to be able to tell (and sell) their story of that value they bring.

This panel session will examine the procurement process at three different corporations, including supplier registration, supplier qualifications, and the contracting process. The panel will then offer tips and suggestions on how suppliers can best tell their story, including:

  • Traditional and non-traditional approaches
  • The need to have the big ask based on the big value
  • How a supplier should approach a corporation
  • Examples of suppliers that do it well and how they do it
